The issue of accountability is central to the debate of AI and morality. In these contexts, is it accurate to hold humans responsible, when the decision was made by the machine?

Machines as Moral Agents

Even if we assume that AI possesses consciousness, does it make a difference if the machine operates in a different environment and experiences the world in another way than humans?
